Unit Overview

The SJ CCU is a General ICU caring for critically ill medical, surgical, and trauma patients who require close monitoring and continuous nursing care.

The facility also cares for a high behavioral health patient population.

Patient Population

• Critical medical patients

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to critically ill medical, surgical, and trauma patients.
• Closely monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and respiratory status.

• Perform ongoing patient assessment and monitoring.

• Educate patients and families about care and treatment.
