Requirements

• License:Required
• Certification: BLS – AHA required
• Experience: 1 year minimum; 2 years preferred
• Education: ADN
• Must-Have: Med/Surg experience preferred
• Preferred: Charge nurse experience; oncology skills helpful but not required
• EMR: Cerner

Job Description / Duties / Responsibilities

• Provides care to adult patients, including geriatric patients.
• Common diagnoses include:
  • Cirrhosis
  • Sepsis
  • Pneumonia
  • Respiratory illnesses
  • Wounds
  • CHF
• Equipment: Vital signs machines, bladder scanner, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, tube-feeding pumps.
• Float: Per facility needs.
