Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Interventional Radiology (IR) department. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a procedural environment, supporting interventional radiology procedures, and participating in a structured call rotation.

RN Responsibilities

The RN will support the Interventional Radiology team in providing safe, efficient, and comprehensive patient care throughout the procedural process.

Responsibilities may include:

• Pre-procedure patient assessment and preparation
• Monitoring patients during procedures
• Medication administration and procedural support
• Post-procedure patient monitoring and recovery
• Maintaining patient safety and infection-control standards
• Collaborating with interventional radiologists and the multidisciplinary procedural team
• Recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition

Schedule

• Shift: Day Shift
• Orientation: October 19 or November 2 only
• Candidates must be flexible with the department's scheduling and call requirements.

Call Requirement

This position requires one full week of call per month.

Weekday Call

• Begins at 5:30 PM
• Ends at 7:00 AM the following morning

Weekend Call

• Begins at 7:00 AM Saturday
• Ends at 7:00 AM Monday

Full Call Week

• Begins at 5:00 PM Monday
• Ends at 7:00 AM the following Monday

Candidates must be comfortable with the full call rotation and available to respond according to department requirements.

Orientation

Department-specific orientation is available on:

• October 19
• November 2

These are the designated orientation start dates for the assignment.

Key Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS and ACLS
• Interventional Radiology/procedural nursing experience preferred
• Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Ability to work effectively in a procedural environment
• Willingness to participate in the required call rotation
• Cerner experience preferred

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a clinically strong RN who is comfortable in a procedural setting, works well with a multidisciplinary team, and can confidently manage patients before, during, and after Interventional Radiology procedures. Flexibility with the extensive call schedule is essential.
