Position Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
- Agency: HealthTrust – CareCareer
- Shift: Days | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Schedule: 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks (91 Days)
- On-Call: Not required
- Weekend Requirement: None
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Charting System: Meditech
- Lab Type: High-volume Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
- Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated EP Lab RN experience
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for electrophysiology procedures.
- Assist physicians during EP studies, cardiac ablations, Watchman procedures, and pacemaker/ICD implants.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient status during procedures.
- Administer medications and moderate sedation as ordered.
- Maintain a sterile field and assist with EP lab equipment.
- Document patient care and procedures accurately in Meditech.
- Provide post-procedure monitoring, recovery care, and patient education.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
