IR Technologist – Hybrid OR
Department: Interventional Radiology / Hybrid OR
Position: IR Technologist – Hybrid OR
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for complex Interventional Radiology and Hybrid OR procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, sterile trays, equipment, and supplies.
• Operate and assist with fluoroscopy and angiography equipment.
• Support physicians and clinical staff during high-acuity procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow radiation-safety protocols.
• Anticipate procedural needs and ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are available.
• Assist with emergency and Level 1 trauma cases.
• Provide coverage for the Hybrid OR Monday–Friday.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, anesthesia, and other members of the IR/OR team.

Neuro Procedures

Experience with the following is highly relevant:

• Diagnostic cerebral angiography
• Stroke intervention / thrombectomy
• Carotid stenting
• MMA embolization
• AVM/AVF embolization
• Aneurysm coiling
• Flow diversion
• Venous sinus stenting
• Aneurysm clipping
• Cerebral bypass

Strong Neuro experience is required, particularly with stroke, embolization, and coiling.

Vascular Procedures

• EVAR / TEVAR
• TCAR
• Peripheral arterial interventions
• Femoral endarterectomy with stenting
• Limb salvage procedures
• Dialysis access interventions
• Thrombectomy / thrombolysis procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• ARRT certification
• Kentucky state license
• BLS
• Strong Neuro IR experience
• Experience with stroke, embolization, and coiling
• Scrubbing and circulating experience
• Equipment operation and tray setup experience
• Level 1 trauma experience
• Experience with Siemens Artis icono biplane system required

Preferred: VI certification

• Call: Required

• Holiday requirements: Based on unit needs
• RTO approval: Manager/NM approval
