Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join the Respiratory Therapy team at W.W. Hastings Hospital on a contract basis. The selected candidate will provide respiratory care services as part of the hospital's Allied Health team and support quality patient care across the department.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to patients in accordance with established clinical standards and protocols.
• Assess patients' respiratory needs and provide appropriate respiratory care interventions.
• Monitor patient respiratory status and communicate changes to the appropriate healthcare team.
• Perform respiratory therapy procedures within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow hospital policies, safety procedures, infection-control standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.
• Appropriate respiratory therapy licensure/certification required for the position.
• Previous hospital or clinical respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Strong communication, assessment, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
