🔥 DAY-SHIFT MED/SURG FLOAT POOL RN CONTRACT – CHI ST. VINCENT INFIRMARY

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) Registered Nurse (RN) in Little Rock, Arkansas. Operating within the acute inpatient Med/Surg service line (128 total beds across 5 units) at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary—a prominent 600-bed Level II Trauma Center—this position features a structured 3x12 daytime schedule (07:00 AM - 19:00 PM / 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM). NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! NO MANDATORY HOLIDAYS! This role floats across Med/Onc, two surgical units, and two medical units, providing comprehensive bedside nursing care for complex adult post-op and chronic disease admissions. Weekly Gross: $1,845.00
Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,125.00
Hourly W2 Rate: $20.00/hr (36 regular hours)
Overtime Rate: $30.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours (07:00 AM - 19:00 PM / 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM). Block scheduling is not offered; staff assigned to pods based on facility need.
Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
Contract Duration: 13 weeks.
Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW) rotation.
On-Call & Holidays: NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! NO HOLIDAY REQUIREMENT!
Facility & Division: CHI St. Vincent Infirmary (600 beds, Level II Trauma Center) / Med/Surg Float Pool (128 beds total).
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Standard 1:6 ratio (Total care environment; occasional PCT/CNA assistance varies).
Floating Scope: Floats between Med/Onc, 2 surgical units, and 2 medical units.
Clinical Scope & Patient Population: Surgical recovery (colorectal, hepatobiliary, bariatric, general, orthopedic surgery) and medical conditions (diabetes, heart disease, COPD exacerbations, kidney disease, acute GI diagnoses). No drip titration required; remote telemetry monitoring with only occasional strip verification.
EMR System & Uniform: Cerner (transitioning to Epic in November 2026); Scrub color is Navy Blue.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated acute care Med/Surg clinical nursing experience in a mid-to-large hospital setting (>250 beds).
Licensure: Active Arkansas RN License or Compact/NLC Multistate License strictly in hand at submittal.
Certifications Required:
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted; BSN not required.
