🩺 What You'll Do
As a Med/Surg RN, you'll be responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care throughout the patient journey.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and continuously monitor patient health status.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Provide nursing interventions, therapies, and treatments based on patient needs.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate changes appropriately.
- Provide patient and family education and health counseling.
- Perform delegated medical functions within your scope of practice.
- Coordinate care with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
- Refer patients for additional evaluation or treatment when appropriate.
- Review and monitor treatment and therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Utilize available resources to support quality patient care.
- Promote a safe, collaborative, and patient-centered environment.
- Float to other departments when required, provided the assignment is within your qualifications and competency.
✅ Requirements
Required:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- BLS – American Heart Association
- Strong assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to provide safe and effective care in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment
Preferred:
- BSN
- Previous Med/Surg or acute-care RN experience
- Additional certifications appropriate to the assigned unit, when applicable
