Job Summary:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients in an acute-care hospital setting. The position requires strong current RRT experience, appropriate Massachusetts licensure, and the ability to provide safe, effective respiratory treatments across the patient population served.
 

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy services to hospital patients.
• Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory conditions.
• Perform respiratory procedures and therapeutic interventions according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient response to respiratory treatments and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and respiratory-care standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide age-appropriate respiratory care across applicable patient populations.
• Maintain competency through required education and skills assessments.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of current RRT experience
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – REQUIRED
• Active Massachusetts RRT License – REQUIRED at submission
• Active NBRC credential – REQUIRED
• AHA BLS – REQUIRED
• CRT candidates will NOT be considered
• Must have a current RRT Skills Checklist completed within the past year
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years of employment
• Own vehicle required for the assignment
• Permanent address must be included in the submission profile

Preferred Qualifications

• Meditech Expanse experience
• ACLS
• PALS

Schedule

12-Hour Nights | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | 36 Hours/Week

• Every other weekend required.
• Holidays may be required based on facility needs.
• No call/call-back requirement.
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation.

Holiday Requirements

Travelers cannot take all holidays off and must work two holiday blocks if scheduled/needed:

• Thanksgiving: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after + weekend after
• Christmas: Christmas Eve through Christmas Day + weekend after
• New Year: New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day + weekend after

Submission Requirements

• Updated work history/resume
• RRT Skills Checklist completed within 1 year
• 1 supervisory signed reference from the past 2 years
• Massachusetts RRT License
• Active NBRC
• AHA BLS
• Permanent address
• Own vehicle confirmation
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at submission
• Maximum 5 days of RTO accepted
• No scheduling/RTO requests will be accepted after submission/offer
