This is a Physical Therapist (PT) role with some department leadership/management responsibilities at Modoc Medical Center, California. The PT will provide direct patient therapy while also helping oversee the PT department, staff competency, quality improvement, equipment, documentation, and budget.

Main Responsibilities

• Evaluate and reassess patients and develop treatment plans.
• Provide physical therapy treatments and modalities as ordered.
• Treat patients across age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and communicate changes to physicians.
• Educate patients and families.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other departments.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient charges.
• Help train and evaluate departmental personnel.
• Participate in CQI/performance improvement activities.
• Assist with department budgeting and equipment management.
• Ensure compliance with California, federal, state, infection-control, safety, and hospital regulations.
• Help maintain efficient day-to-day PT department operations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Physical Therapy experience preferred
• Current California PT license/certification
• Current BCLS certification
• Knowledge of PT modalities, anatomy/physiology, disease processes, and rehabilitation.
• Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with patients across different age groups.
