Description
1.Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program certificate. Classwork regarding medication administration required.
2.Licensure/Certification: The following licensure and/or certifications are required.
•Current AHA or equivalent certification in BLS.
•Medical Assistant state or national certification within 3 months of hire.
•Internal competency completed for injections.
3.Experience: Previous experience with medication administration required. One year of acute care hospital experience or ambulatory care setting preferred.
