Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5 × 8-hour shifts

Position Summary:

The Pharmacist I will provide comprehensive pharmacy services within the Northern Cheyenne Service Unit. The pharmacist will be responsible for safely dispensing medications, reviewing prescriptions, providing medication-related guidance, and collaborating with healthcare providers to support quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and accurately dispense prescription medications according to provider orders.
• Verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and potential contraindications.
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy.
• Monitor patients for medication-related issues and recommend appropriate interventions when needed.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy regulations, facility policies, and safety standards.
• Assist with medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, storage, and controlled-substance management.
• Maintain proper medication storage and handling procedures.
• Support day-to-day pharmacy operations and contribute to efficient patient care.
• Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday
• 5 × 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• No weekend schedule listed
• Start as soon as all required clearances and onboarding are completed

Candidate Requirements:

• Current, unrestricted pharmacist license applicable to the assignment location.
• BLS (AHA)
• PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree from an accredited program.
• Strong knowledge of medication safety, dispensing practices, and pharmaceutical care.
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
• Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
