Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced OR Technician / Surgical Technologist to join a high-volume, multidisciplinary Operating Room team. This role supports a broad range of surgical specialties across 12 OR suites, with significant case volume in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and Robotics.

The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience with Neuro and Orthopedic procedures, as well as demonstrated Robotics experience. Candidates should be comfortable supporting complex surgical cases and working across multiple specialties in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Required Experience & Skills

Candidates must demonstrate strong experience across the required surgical specialties. A minimum rating of 3 in all applicable specialty areas is required for submission.

Advanced Surgical Technology

The OR utilizes a range of advanced surgical technologies and equipment, including:

• Da Vinci Robotic Systems – 3
• Stealth Navigation
• O-Arm
• Holmium Lasers

Robotics experience is required.

Schedule & Call Requirements

• 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available
• 8-hour: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
• 12-hour: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM

Weeknight Call

• One 4-hour call period after a scheduled shift each week

Weekend Call

• Approximately every 5 weeks
• Weekend call runs from Friday evening through Sunday evening
• Two call teams rotate coverage.
• Teams alternate between first call and second call every 12 hours.

Floating

• No floating outside of the Operating Room.
• Assignment remains within the OR/Surgical Services environment.

Dress Code

• Green scrubs provided by the hospital.

Candidate Submission & Compliance Requirements

Radius Requirement

• 50-mile radius rule applies.
• Candidate's permanent address must be outside the 50-mile radius.
• A copy of the candidate's Driver's License is required at submission and will be used to verify the candidate's distance from the facility.

CommonSpirit Employment Restriction

Candidates may not currently be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

Fingernail Policy

• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient-care departments.
• Candidates must comply with the facility's fingernail policy.
• Refusal to remove artificial nails may result in termination of the contract.

Required Time Off

• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront.
• Maximum RTO: 7 days per 13-week contract.
• Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.

Submission Process

• Auto Offer: Candidate undergoes clinical review followed by manager review.
• Candidates must demonstrate a minimum rating of 3 across all required specialty areas to be eligible for submission.
• Strong Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics experience is essential for consideration.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a highly adaptable Surgical Technologist with strong experience in a complex, high-volume OR environment. The candidate should be proficient in Neuro and Orthopedic procedures, experienced with Robotic Surgery, and comfortable supporting a broad surgical case mix while maintaining excellent sterile technique, teamwork, and patient safety standards.
