Travel RN – Psych

Position: Registered Nurse – Psychiatric/Mental Health
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: Night Shift
ETW / EOH: As applicable

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN) to provide care to patients with a variety of behavioral health and mental health conditions. The RN will assess patients, administer medications, monitor changes in condition, provide therapeutic support, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive psychiatric and physical assessments
Monitor patients for changes in mental and behavioral status
Administer medications safely and accurately
Monitor medication effectiveness and adverse reactions
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
Provide patient and family education
Document patient care accurately
Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
Follow facility policies and behavioral-health safety protocols

Required Qualifications

Active RN license
Recent Psych/Behavioral Health RN experience
BLS certification
Strong assessment and communication skills
Experience with psychiatric/behavioral health patients
Ability to work 7:00 PM–7:30 AM shifts
