Description
Internal Job Description
• ER (Level III Trauma Center) - Urgent Care.
• # beds/trauma bays 11 bed unit with 2 critical care rooms.
All rooms are private.
• # Psych/seclusion rooms -They have one Behavioral Health Safe Room.
• Certs & Requirements BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
• Must have experience in Level I - III trauma centers.
• Must be an experienced ED nurse with at least 4 years of experience.
• Ratios- 1:4.
• EMR- Epic.
• Nurse Aides/Paramedics - They use Unit Assistants.
Most are EMT trained.
They cover the entire floor.
• Weekend Requirement- The weekend requirement varies.
It may be every 3rd, every other, or every weekend.
Friday/Saturday are considered weekends for nights & Saturday/Sunday are considered weekends for days.
• Holidays- Holidays would be expected; however, would depend on the time of year & the agreed upon schedule.
• Scrub Color No specific color.
• Shifts 12's: Start times 0700, 1100, or 1900.
They rotate shifts unless an agreement is made for straight shift, such as nights only.
They do not do self-scheduling.
They will try to accommodate schedules as much as possible but block scheduling may not be possible.
• Floating- No floating.

Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.
Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
