Position: Cath Lab Tech / CVT / CVIS
Contract: 12 weeks
 

Schedule:

• 4 days/week
• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 9.5-hour shifts
• Rotational weekend and weekday STEMI call for NMC only
• No STEMI call for this position, per schedule notes

Required Qualifications:

• Current and recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience – Required
• Direct Cath Lab experience with both:
  • Scrub
  • Monitor
• RT, CVT, or RCIS background
• BLS – Required
• ACLS – Required
• IABP experience – Required
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist preferred/required based on credentialing
• RCIS certification – Preferred
• High School Diploma or GED – Required

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients and equipment for cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Assist with PCI, including STEMI procedures, and other interventional procedures.
• Support peripheral vascular, pacemaker, interventional radiology, and related procedures.
• Function effectively in both scrub and monitor roles.
• Monitor, document, and calculate hemodynamic data.
• Provide procedural assistance to physicians before, during, and after procedures.
• Assess and manage vascular access sites and promptly communicate concerns to the physician.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide appropriate pre- and post-procedure care.
• Follow Cath Lab safety, infection control, and procedural protocols.
• Follow established on-call protocols when applicable.

Ideal Candidate:

Experienced Cath Lab Tech/CVT/CVIS/RCIS with current hands-on Cath Lab experience who is confident performing both scrub and monitor functions, has IABP experience, and is comfortable supporting cardiac and vascular interventional procedures.
