Med-Surg RN

🕐 Shift: 12-hour Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
📆 Weekend: Every other weekend
💻 EMR: Epic
🏥 Trauma Level: II
👥 Beds: 30
🔄 Float: First to float; may float to Medical/Telemetry

Job Details

Acute Care Med-Surg RN
Patient population includes:
- Total joint replacement
- Spinal surgery
- Urology procedures
- Abdominal surgery
- Bariatric patients
- Medical overflow
Frequent hemovacs, JP drains, and colostomies
Surgical/post-op experience preferred
Early ambulation experience preferred
No drip titration required
Occasional heparin drip, PCA, and TPN
Remote telemetry available; monitor tech interprets strips
First-time travelers accepted

Requirements

BLS required
RN license required for submission
BSN not required
Must live 50+ miles away
Cannot currently be FTE, PT, or PRN with any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility
RTO must be submitted upfront; maximum 7 days per 13-week contract
