- Unit: MedSurg/Tele 5 (Surgical Tele)
- # beds: 47
- Certs: BLS, ACLS
- Ratios: Tele pts - 1:4, MedSurg - 1:5
- EMR: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Yes - no patient assignment. Potentially 1 Resource RN if not in patient count.
- Nurse Aides: Yes - ratio 1:12 days, 1:14 nights.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Yes - rotate with core staff.
- Scrub Color: RN - Navy Blue, Aides - Hunter Green
- Tele: Yes
- Nurse's Read Strips: Yes
- Drips: Heparin, Blood
- Vents: No - potentially bipap and cpap at night.
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes
- IV Team: No
- RT 24/7: Yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
- Shifts: 0630-1900, 1830-0700
- Floating: MedSurg 6, Tele 7 (within skill set), and Rehab.
- Floor specific orientation: 1 shift with a preceptor.
