HIGHLIGHTS:
- 24 months of current operating room experience [required] 
- circulating / operating room experience [required]
- scrub experience [highly preferred]
- experience in the following cases: General, davinci Robotics, Pediatrics and Trauma [required]
- additional experience in the following cases: (Neurology, orthopedics(primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, Ear, nose, throat, Vascular) [highly preferred]
- EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years [required]
- Trauma Level I experience [highly preferred]
- Trauma level II experience [required]
- No 1st time travelers, must have completed a travel assignment within previous 15 mos. [required]
- scrubbing experience in Orthopedic [highly preferred]
- Skills Checklist must be specific to the discipline listed on the job (Operating Room Nurse, scrub/scrubbing) [required]
- Nursy  must state Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate at time of submission [required] [document]

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Bed Size: 16
- Avg. caseload  Average 35-50 cases per day. Expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes.
- Special equipment  3 Davinci robots. Use Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and use primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma. We don t do many ortho joints.
- How many suites  16 OR s. Run from 12-14 routinely. As a level 1 trauma center, we reserve space for traumas.
- Service lines - Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants. We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures.
- Other   the call for weekends is from end of shift on Friday until 0630am Monday.
- Traveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran Iowa Methodist

- Local Radius rule: No locals -- All candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility (based on drivers license)
- Employee Separation Policy: Any past employee  whether FTE, or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another Market no matter which facility they currently work at, or have worked at within the past 12 months. 
- If they worked travel  (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply
- HOLIDAY update: unless the Unit is closed, your contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays
- EMR: EPIC
- Call Back:  2 hr CB minimum --- In order for CB to apply, the RN must have clocked out, and left the premises, and THEN called back in. If they remain on shift, it counts as overage hours towards OT where applicable
