Job Description

Seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse with strong scrub and circulating experience for a Level I Trauma Center. The RN will work across a broad range of surgical specialties and may support complex trauma and emergency procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Level I Trauma experience – HARD STOP
• At least 2 years of OR experience
• Scrub experience – HARD STOP
• Circulating experience
• PA or Compact RN License
• BLS
• ACLS
• EPIC experience
• Prior travel RN experience
• Willingness to work weekends/call/holidays as department needs require

Preferred Qualifications

• CNOR
• NIHSS
• Teaching hospital experience
• Level I Trauma experience
• Robotic surgery experience
• Ambulatory OR experience

Facility Details

• 24 main operating rooms
• Dedicated trauma OR adjacent to trauma bay
• 2 hybrid ORs for endovascular procedures and structural heart procedures such as TAVR/TMVR
• Patient population includes neonates through geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, transportation, and unit secretary

Schedule & Call

• 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• 5×8-hour shifts
• Weekend coverage as needed
• Call required as needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No block scheduling
• No floating
• 12 hours of orientation

Important Compliance Requirements

• Valid license/certification required at submission
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• PA fingerprints required
• Fingerprints must be completed within 1 week of signing
• PA ChildLine and fingerprint results may need to be current within 12 months
• Fingerprint processing can take 2–4 weeks, so this should be started quickly
• Auto-offer managers have 48 hours to review and confirm
• No RTO can be added after submission
• Pass/fail exam is not required for OR candidates
• Modules are completed during orientation
