Unit: Special Care Level 2 Nursery
Position: RN
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Schedule: 3x12s
Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Openings: 1
Reason: Coverage for leave
Orientation: Weekly on Mondays

Requirements

• 2+ years of Level 2 Special Care Nursery or higher NICU experience
• BLS – Required
• NRP – Required
• STABLE – Required
• All required certifications must be completed before start
• Must be willing to float to Mother/Baby Postpartum
• Must be 60+ miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler

Unit Details

• 8-bed Special Care Nursery
• Patient ratio: 1:2–1:3
• Patient population:
  • Neonates
  • Full-term
  • Early-term
  • Pre-term infants
• EMR: Meditech / GE Centricity
• Trauma Level: Undesignated
• Call: None
• Weekend: 2 weekend shifts per month

Required Clinical Experience

Strong candidates should have experience with:

• Level 2 Special Care Nursery
• NICU
• Attending deliveries
• Initiating and managing NRP resuscitation
• Bubble CPAP
• OG/NG feeds
• IV antibiotics
• NAS/NOWS
• TTN
