Description
- Unit: ICU, 20 beds
- Shift: 12 HR Nights, 7p–7a
- Experience: ICU experience required
- Ratio: 1:2
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Preferred: CCRN, basic critical care course
- Charting: Cerner
- Patient Population: Sepsis, DKA, COPD, CVA, GI bleeds, post-op recovery and cardiac patients
- Drips: Propofol, norepinephrine, Versed
- Vents: Required experience; RT available 24/7
- Telemetry: Nurses read and interpret their own strips
- IV Skills: Strong IV skills required
- Floating: Required to Med/Surg and Tele; travelers are first to float and may take 4–5 patients
- ED Float: May be deployed to ED to care for boarded ICU patients
- Standby: 30-minute response time; standby without being called in counts as a cancellation
- Weekends: 2 weekends per 4 weeks
- Holidays: As needed
- Scrubs: Navy
- Block Scheduling: Not available
- BSN: Not required
- License: Must have license to submit
- Cancellation: Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts on a 13-week assignment
