Phlebotomist – Donor Care Specialist | Travel Contract
Pay: Up to $1,415/week
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 10/26/2026
Schedule: 40 hours/week, rotating day shifts
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist - Donor Care Specialist for a 13-week travel assignment.
Position Details
- 40 hours per week
- Rotating shifts:
- 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Occasional weekends and holidays required
- EPIC charting system
- Mileage reimbursement for offsite travel at $0.76/mile
Responsibilities
- Perform whole blood collections in donor centers and at mobile blood drives
- Travel to offsite blood drive locations as needed
- Ensure donor safety and provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established protocols and regulatory standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior phlebotomy experience required
- BLS certification
- Experience drawing whole blood or therapeutic phlebotomies
- Experience drawing pint units using a 16-gauge needle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- National Phlebotomy Certification or completion of an accredited phlebotomy program preferred
- Blood donor program or Red Cross experience preferred
