Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) | Nights | Louisville, KY

Join Baptist Health as a Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment at a busy 71-bed Emergency Department that functions with Level I trauma acuity.

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (36 or 48 hours/week available)

Position Details

As an Emergency Department RN, you will provide comprehensive, high-quality emergency care for patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and traumatic injuries. Working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, you will collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to rapidly assess, stabilize, and treat patients while prioritizing patient safety and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and emergency nursing interventions.
• Care for Level II trauma patients, STEMI, Stroke, ICU hold, medical-surgical hold, and critically ill patients.
• Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, and critical care drips.
• Manage advanced equipment including ventilators, BiPAP/High Flow Oxygen, chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, midlines, ports, Foley catheters, and continuous bladder irrigation.
• Provide emergency care for adult, pediatric, OB/GYN, psychiatric, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and trauma patients.
• Apply splints and orthopedic devices and assist with emergency procedures.
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and ancillary staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
