Description
ER RN – Detailed Job Summary
Hours:
- 36 or 48 hours/week accepted
- 12-hour shifts may apply based on facility scheduling
Required Experience:
- 2+ years of recent ER/ED experience required
- Previous experience working in a Critical Access Hospital is required
- Charge Nurse experience is highly preferred
Role Breakdown:
- Approximately 60% Emergency Department
- Approximately 40% Critical Access Charge responsibilities
- Provides backup support for both ED and Med/Surg
- Must be comfortable taking on charge responsibilities
Floating Requirements:
This position requires the RN to float between departments as needed:
- Emergency Department
- Med/Surg
- Stepdown
The candidate must be willing to take Stepdown patients and assist with Med/Surg patients when needed.
Important:
This is not a strictly ED-only position. The RN will be expected to work across multiple areas and provide charge/backup coverage based on the facility’s needs.
