Position Overview

Seeking an experienced RN to provide nursing care in a secure juvenile detention setting. This role serves adolescents with acute and chronic medical conditions, behavioral health needs, substance use disorders, and developmental needs.

Responsibilities

Conduct health screenings and nursing assessments.
Administer medications and treatments.
Respond to medical emergencies.
Monitor patients in medical observation.
Coordinate care with physicians and mental health professionals.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Perform blood draws.

Requirements

Active California RN License
Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient correctional nursing experience within a secure juvenile detention facility
Correctional health or psychiatric nursing experience
Must be proficient in blood draws
AHA BLS
MAB or CPI
LA City Fire & Life Safety Card
Completion of LA County Employee Health Clearance before starting

Additional Details

Patient Ratios: In accordance with California staffing regulations.
Scrubs: Any color; Navy Blue or Black preferred.
EMR: Cerner
Parking: On-site
PPE: Provided
Pay Cycle: Sunday–Saturday
