Surgical Technologist – Travel Assignment

Position: Surgical Technologist
Job Type: Travel
Contract Length: 89 Weeks
Schedule: 4×10 Hours
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Shift: Day Shift | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Important Requirements

• Candidate must live at least 100 miles from the facility
• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience – Required
• Robotics experience – Required
• Orthopedic (Ortho) experience – Required
• Urology experience – Required
• BLS – Required
• ACLS – Required
• Must be available for on-call
• Must be willing to work a varying day off each week

Schedule & On-Call

4×10-hour day shifts | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

• 4 shifts per week
• Day off varies each week
• Facility may try to provide the post-call day off when possible
• On-call: Approximately 4 times per month
• On-call includes one 24-hour weekend day

Position Overview

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for supporting the surgical team before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare for scheduled surgical procedures
• Assist the surgeon and surgical team during procedures
• Prepare and organize the operating room and surgical equipment
• Maintain appropriate sterile technique
• Ensure surgical equipment is properly sterilized
• Assemble case carts for scheduled procedures
• Prepare emergency case carts as needed
• Support safe and efficient surgical procedures
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other operating room staff

Required Surgical Experience

Required:

• Robotics
• Orthopedics
• Urology

Preferred:
Experience with other surgical specialties is preferred, except:

• Eyes
• Hearts
• Thoracic
• Vascular

Qualifications & Certifications

• 2+ years of Surgical Technologist experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a surgical team
• Strong knowledge of surgical preparation, sterile technique, and surgical equipment
• Ability to assemble and manage scheduled and emergency case carts

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Hours Per Day: 10
Shifts Per Week: 4
On-Call: Approximately 4 times/month
