WINTER HOLIDAY REQUIREMENT:

• Based on unit/department: Clinicians must either work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays, as needed. (Winter Holidays include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years)


REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
====================================
• Active NJ or Compact license is required at time of submission

• Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, ITTC- De-escalation Training (Refer to submittal instructions)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & CLINICAL SKILLS
==================================
• Years of Experience Required: 1.5 years. Must have Adult ED experience

• Central line care/management; medication administration; isolation precautions; triage; IV therapy/phlebotomy

• Respiratory & Critical Care: CPAP/BiPAP; interpretation of ABGs; ventilator management; Continuous IV sedation; IV vasopressors

• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; Management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure


SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

• Charting: EPIC experience required

• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

• RTO, Block & Scheduling Requests: Priority given to submits with a screenshot confirming RTO and schedule requests. No requests will be approved after offer.

• Call Off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

• Locals Accepted: Yes, Locals accepted at the same rate


UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

• Ratios: 1:4-6+ (confirm ratio with Traveler)

• Unit Details: May care for holding patients; The ED has 73 beds- including pediatrics and fast track and a 19-bed rapid decision unit.

• Scrubs: Navy Blue

• Floating: May float to Peds ED (rare); Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity and staffing.
