Description
XRAY TECHNOLOGIST
Requirements
- ARRT – Required
- BLS – Required
- Graduate of a JRCERT/ARRT-approved program
- Minimum 1 year Level I Trauma experience, or
- 2–3 years at a large-bed Level II Trauma facility
- Must be comfortable working in:
- OR
- ED
- Inpatient
- Portable X-ray
- Must be willing to learn pediatric and neonatal imaging
- Mask fit required
Equipment / Systems
- EMR: EPIC
- Imaging: Sectra
- Equipment: GE, Philips, Carestream
- Radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment experience required
- Must evaluate images for technical quality
Department / Floating
- Tech will be assigned to a department each day.
- Expected to float between departments as needed.
- Must be comfortable working with students at Grady and performing competency check-offs.
