Position Details

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience
• General Interventional Radiology experience
• ARRT (R)
• BLS
• SCQRS
• Radiation badge — must be provided by the agency; facility does not provide radiation badges to travelers
• Sterile technique
• Isolation precautions/PPE
• Interventional Radiology experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Neuro IR experience

• Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics
• Special Procedures: Interventional Radiology, Interventional CT/US, stress tests, and other radiology-related monitoring
• Scrubs: OR scrubs provided by facility
• Parking: Free

• Flu Vaccine: Required; medical/religious exemptions accepted
• Block Scheduling: Requires manager approval and depends on unit needs
• RTO: Must be submitted at the time of submission. RTO after submission will not be accepted.
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks
• SSN: Required for submission
• MUSC Submission: Only one MUSC unit/campus can be submitted at a time
• Previous MUSC perm/PRN staff: Must be separated from the MUSC system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• SC License: Pending SC license candidates may be considered at submission with proof of application or confirmation they can complete the SC walk-through process. Traveler must have an active SC license before reporting to the facility.
• Compliance: Labs must be completed within 72 hours of signing if within 90 days of start, or at least 2 weeks before the hard-document deadline.
• Modules: Approximately 4 hours, non-billable, completed before start.

Hurricane Season Notice

During hurricane season, travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs June through November, with peak activity typically in August and September.
