Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a travel assignment at a Level I Trauma hospital. The ideal candidate must have prior Level I Trauma experience and be proficient in performing a wide range of MRI studies, including cardiac, breast, and angiography imaging.
 

Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI examinations across various patient populations and clinical conditions.
• Conduct cardiac, breast, angiography, and other MRI studies.
• Start IVs and administer contrast as required.
• Operate Siemens MRI equipment and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide MRI coverage during scheduled shifts, weekends, holidays, and call rotations.

Department Details:

• MRI Equipment: Siemens Aera 1.5T, Trio 3T, and Espree 1.5T
• Number of Scanners: 3
• Average Volume: 35–40 scans per day
• EMR/PACS: EPIC; transitioning from McKesson to Merge
• Radiologist Coverage: In-house during the day; resident coverage at night
• Floating: MRI department only
• Orientation: 1 week of training; schedule flexible
• Scrubs: Gray (not provided)

Schedule & Requirements:

• 3 × 12-hour day shifts per week, with varying days and rotating schedules.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Call required every other Thursday, with additional backup coverage as needed.
• Must have prior Level I Trauma experience.
• BLS (AHA) required.
• ARRT (MR) certification required.
• Valid driver's license required at submission.

Important Candidate Restrictions:

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any Common Spirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity Health.
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient-care departments. Refusal to remove artificial nails may result in contract termination.
