Job Breakdown – L&D / Postpartum RN

• Facility: Cibola General Hospital
• Position: Registered Nurse I – L&D / Postpartum
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating nights
• Hours: 36 hrs/week guaranteed
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Call: Occasional labor call or overtime
• Weekends/Holidays: May be required
• Urgency: Normal

Must-Have Requirements

• Must be able to work in BOTH L&D and Postpartum
• Active New Mexico RN license or Compact RN license
• BLS/CPR – AHA
• ADN required; BSN preferred
• ACLS
• NRP
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• OPS Emergency Workshop
• STABLE certification required within 12 months

Clinical Experience

Candidate should be skilled in:

• Labor support and perinatal care
• Delivery
• Postpartum care
• Newborn assessment
• Fetal monitoring
• Sterile technique/sterile field
• Caring for patients across the lifespan

Other Expectations

• May float to other departments when appropriately oriented/trained
• Must be comfortable with nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional call
• Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and ability to handle emergencies.
