Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our cardiovascular team for a 13-week travel assignment. The Cath Lab Tech will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, operate specialized imaging equipment, and provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced catheterization laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the cardiac catheterization lab before, during, and after procedures.
Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment while ensuring optimal image quality.
Monitor patients throughout procedures and promptly identify changes in patient condition.
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control standards.
Scrub, circulate, and monitor during cardiac and vascular procedures as assigned.
Administer and document contrast media per facility protocols.
Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report malfunctions as needed.
Accurately document patient care activities and procedure information.
Participate in on-call rotation if required by the facility.

Requirements

Certifications & Licensure

ARRT (RT-R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Radiography
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Qualifications

Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Cath Lab experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, procedures, and imaging techniques.
Experience with cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stenting, and related interventional procedures.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
