Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 13-week assignment. The nurse will primarily work on the Medical-Surgical unit and must be competent and willing to float to Telemetry and other Med/Surg units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with medical-surgical and telemetry needs.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to cardiac emergencies.
• Care for patients with stroke, orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, oncology, diabetes, and general medical conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
• Float between Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Med/Surg Telemetry units based on facility needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Previous experience caring for stroke patients is required.
• Must be flexible and willing to float between units.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• ICU/ED experience and Cerner experience preferred.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
