Unit: University Corrections Healthcare Unit (Stepdown/PCU)
Location: Columbus, OH
Start Date: 11/02/2026
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days or Nights | 3x12s (36 hrs/week)
Float: Required within OSU facilities

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

1: Minimum 1 year of current Stepdown/PCU acute care experience
2: Acute care experience must be recent and within the last 12 months (Hard Stop)
3: ACLS & BLS required
4: Telemetry experience required
5: Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
6: Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips

Preferred

• Epic experience
• Stepdown, PCU, IMC, or MS/Tele background
• First-time travelers accepted

Key Skills

• Telemetry monitoring
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IV starts and peripheral line management
• Oxygen administration
• Phlebotomy
• Rapid Response/Code Team experience

Unit Highlights

• Corrections experience NOT required

Ideal Candidate: RN with recent Stepdown/PCU experience, strong telemetry skills, and a solid acute care background who is comfortable floating and working in a secure healthcare environment.
