Shift Times:

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM 

IMPORTANT NOTE: 
Candidates must have 2+ years Med/Surg experience AND experience working in a Critical Access Hospital. Please note that this position requires floating to the ED. Charge experience preferred. 

NO LOCALS. Candidates perm address must be 50+ miles from facility.

Submission Requirements

• Minimum 2 years current Med Surg experience [REQUIRED]
• Previous charge experience, preferred. Please ensure this is listed on profile. [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• Previous travel experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• Previous experience working in a Critical Access Hospital [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• BSN [HIGHLY PREFERRED]

About the Facility

Whenever possible, it is our mission to stabilize, treat, and discharge our patients back home. In some cases, we are required to stabilize and transfer the emergent conditions that present to our facility to other facilities that provide the services that our hospital does not offer within the scope of services listed. UCVH works closely with the area’s ambulance service to provide critical medical assistance as quickly as possible. In addition, DHART and LifeFlight of Maine provides helicopter trauma service to our campus, allowing for rapid transfer of critically ill or injured patients to appropriate centers of care.

Emergency Department is comprised of:

• Modern with state of the art equipment
• ED Providers with Board Certifications
• TeleEmergency, Telepsych, and Teleneonatal is available in the ED via DHMC
• Our support staff includes Emergency Department technicians, Certified Emergency Registered Nurses, as well as Registered Nurses who are current in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS. Our nurses are also certified in TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum).
