- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
- Shift: 12-hour Days, 6:30 AM–6:30 PM
- Schedule: Every other weekend
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- EMR: Epic
- Floating: Required — typically to PCU, occasionally Med/Surg; nurse takes the unit’s normal patient ratio
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Unit: 33-bed ICU, average daily census ~16; typical ratio 1:2–3
- Patient Population: High-acuity adults including trauma, cardiac, sepsis, overdose/substance abuse, post-stent, pacemaker, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress
- Critical Care Skills: Drip titration, including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation; ventilator support/troubleshooting; telemetry interpretation and documentation
- Telemetry: GE monitors with tele tech oversight; RNs must read, interpret, and document strips
- Holiday Requirement: Minimum 2 holidays during the contract
- Call: May be placed on call; if called back in, must arrive within 30 minutes
- Scheduling: block scheduling not guaranteed
- Trauma Level: Level II
- Radius Rule: 50 miles
- Candidate must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the traveler rate
- Driver’s license required at submission to verify distance
- Cannot currently be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility
- Additional: RTO must be submitted upfront; 7 days or less per 13-week contract.
