Position Summary

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, compassionate, timely, and evidence-based nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department with a wide variety of medical, surgical, traumatic, and emergent conditions.

The RN performs comprehensive assessments, prioritizes care based on patient acuity, administers medications and treatments, monitors patient responses, assists with emergency procedures, and communicates effectively with patients, families, providers, and members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

The successful candidate must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple patients with competing priorities, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately to emergencies.

Schedule

This is a weekends-only position, with regularly scheduled shifts on Saturday and Sunday.

Shift length and exact hours will be determined by department staffing needs. Weekend and holiday coverage requirements may apply.

Employees in this position are expected to arrive on time, be prepared for the scheduled shift, and provide appropriate handoff before leaving the department.
