Shift Matrix: Day Shift | 07:00 – 19:00 (3x12-Hour Shifts)

• Work Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week (3x12-Hour Shifts). Tentative schedule 07:00 – 19:00 with some scheduling flexibility available per department needs.

• On-Call Requirement: No call.

🚫 Absolute Minimum Qualifications & Departmental Hardstops:

• Certification Mandate: Active ARRT (MR) primary or post-primary certification held in hand at submission.
• Licensure Mandate: Active, unencumbered Rhode Island State Radiologic Technologist / MRI License held in hand at submission.
• Experience Baseline: Minimum 2+ years of recent MRI Technologist experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Mandatory Certifications: Active AHA BLS.
• Contrast & IV Competency: Documented proficiency in peripheral IV line placement, renal function assessment (eGFR verification), and administration of IV gadolinium contrast agents.
• MR Safety Expertise: Strict compliance with ACR Level II MR safety screening guidelines and Zone IV safety enforcement.

Job Summary & Clinical Scope

A Hospital in Warwick, RI is seeking an experienced, autonomous MRI Technologist (MRI Tech) for a 13-week day assignment in MRI (Department 31150-60095). Operating within Care New England's second-largest acute care hospital, the MRI Tech will execute high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging procedures for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care populations.

• Diagnostic Imaging Sequences: Perform complex diagnostic MRI scans across neurological, musculoskeletal, abdominal, pelvic, and vascular imaging protocols.
• MR Safety Screening & Control: Enforce rigid Level I and Level II MR safety procedures, perform complete pre-scan metallic implant screenings for patients/staff, and maintain strict Zone IV magnet access control.
• IV Access & Contrast Administration: Insert peripheral IV catheters, evaluate patient renal function labs, and administer gadolinium-based contrast media per radiologist directives.
• System Operations & Image Quality: Optimize scanning parameters, monitor patient tolerance during long acquisition sequences, send diagnostic image series to PACS, and collaborate directly with reading radiologists for urgent cases.
