Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: Special Education Registered Nurse – RN in Colorado Springs, CO - Part-Time!

We're currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Registered Nurse – RN ($41-$51+/hour) to support students with diverse health and special education needs in the Colorado Springs, CO area for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: May 2027
- Part-Time
- Monday: 8:30 AM - 2:15 PM (5.75 hours)
- Tuesday: 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM (5.5 hours)
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (7.5 hours)
- Total Weekly Hours: 18.75
- Student age groups: TBD
- School-based Special Education RN position
- $41-$51+/hour, depending on experience

Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for practice in Colorado
- Must meet applicable Colorado Department of Education requirements for the position
- Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider credential/licensure as required
- Strong communication, organization, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students with a variety of medical, developmental, and special education needs
- School-based and/or pediatric nursing experience is preferred
Role Overview:
As a Special Education Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing services and health support to students with diverse needs, helping ensure they can safely access and participate in their educational programs. You'll collaborate closely with school staff, families, administrators, and other members of the educational team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide school nursing services based on individual student health and educational needs
- Develop and implement appropriate health-related services and supports
- Monitor student health, safety, and well-being throughout the school day
- Respond appropriately to medical, safety, and crisis situations
- Maintain accurate health records and required documentation
- Follow established health, safety, confidentiality, and special education procedures
- Collaborate with families, educators, special education staff, and other professionals
- Adapt nursing services to meet the individual needs and abilities of students
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required
