• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• Neuro Stepdown
• Rapid Response / Code Team experience
• Travel nursing experience
• Trach + ventilator management required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Cerner experience preferred

Key Clinical Skills

• Cardiac: Telemetry, dysrhythmia management, post-MI, cardiac cath, cardiac surgery, angiogram, sheath removal, TR Band
• Neuro: Craniotomy, CVA, neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, TBI
• Respiratory: Ventilated patients, tracheostomy, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, chest tubes, ABGs, oxygen management
• IV/Lines: PICC, central lines, ports, arterial lines, peripheral IVs, IV starts, phlebotomy, blood products
• Medications: Heparin protocols, cardiac/vasoactive drips, titratable drips, PCA, procedural sedation
• Renal: Hemodialysis, renal failure
• Other: Feeding tubes, wound care/wound vac, isolation precautions, ortho trauma, joint replacements, nerve blocks, skin grafts, surgical drains

Unit Highlights

• 3E is the only dedicated IMC unit in the hospital and accepts patients across all diagnoses.
• Fast-paced, high patient throughput environment.
• Typical 1:4 ratio with a free charge nurse.
• Charge nurse may take up to 4 patients when needed, but this is uncommon.
• Strong interdisciplinary support including PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, Phlebotomy, Social Services, Rapid Response, and Unit Secretary.
• Free parking; parking permit required.
• Any solid-color scrubs.
