RN PICU
Shift: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
Certification: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
· Minimum of 1+ year of recent, direct bedside experience with pediatric critical care patients.
· Experience with pediatric mechanical ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal CPAP, and managing tracheostomies.
· Experience with managing arterial lines, central lines, and titrating vasoactive, paralytic, and sedative infusions and other critical care pediatric medications.
· Competency in weight-based pharmacology (Broset-method/PALS dosing) and age-specific assessments stretching from neonates up to adolescents and young adults.
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
· Precepting novice and new graduate nurses.
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
· Management of advanced respiratory interventions, invasive lines, and continuous organ-support therapies.
· Assistance in intubation, central line management, hypodynamic monitoring, and moderate sedation for specialized pediatric procedures.
· Titrating complex drip and continuous infusions.
