RN – Neuro ICU (J4-NSICU)
Hospital: Mission Health – Asheville, NC
Unit: J4-NSICU | Building J
Shift: Nights | 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Schedule: 3x12s
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Beds: 12
Charting: Cerner
Equipment: Baxter pumps
Must-Haves
- ICU experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Strong Neuro ICU experience preferred
- Neurology experience strongly preferred
Required Neuro ICU Skills
Candidate should have experience with:
- Post-thrombectomy patients
- Post-TPA patients
- Post-neurosurgery patients
- EVD management at bedside
- A-line monitoring
- CRRT
Scheduling & Floating
- Self-scheduling based on unit needs
- 6 weekend shifts per scheduling period
- Travelers float first to other ICUs, then to step-down units as needed
Dress Code
- Navy blue scrubs
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidate is an ICU RN with strong Neuro/Neuro ICU experience, particularly caring for post-thrombectomy, TPA, and neurosurgical patients, with competency in EVDs, A-lines, and CRRT.
