Travel Endoscopy RN – Gastroenterology

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Patient Population: Adults
Ratio: 1:2
EMR: Cerner
Trauma Level: III
Weekend/Call: Weekend and evening call required
Float: Possibly to Pre-Op if Endoscopy cases are low

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• Intraprocedure technical experience required
• Gastro/Endoscopy experience required
• Procedural Tech experience is a must
• RN degree for RN candidates
• Certified Surgical Technology Program for Surgical Tech candidates
• Minimum 3.2 overall rating on Skills Checklist
• Must complete Area Specific Competency Exam
• Resume + Submission Form

Required Gastro/Endoscopy Experience

Must be experienced with pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care, including:

• Biopsy – hot and cold
• Savary dilation
• Balloon dilation
• Variceal banding
• Therapeutic injection / polyp raising / tattooing
• Foreign body retrieval – Roth Net and Rat Tooth
• Clip application
• Hot and cold snare
• Pre-CHEL pressure
• ERCP cannulization
• ERCP biliary duct dilation
• ERCP lithotripsy
• ERCP stent placement
• ERCP sphincterotomy
• ERCP balloon sweep
• ERCP basket retrieval
• ERCP contrast injection
• Endoscopic hemostat
• Argon Plasma Coagulation (APC)
• Minnesota tube

Non-Critical Skills

• Proactively assists other team members
• Troubleshoots equipment and supplies
