LPN – Cardiology Clinic Breakdown

🏥 Position

• Role: LPN – Cardiology Clinic
• Location: Rapid City, South Dakota
• Address: 353 Fairmont Blvd.
• Setting: Outpatient Cardiology Clinic

• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

• Travel experience: Clinic experience preferred

🕐 Schedule

• 8-hour day shifts
• 40 hours/week
• Weekends: ❌ None
• On-call: ❌ None
• Holidays: 2 of 4 required
• Day after Thanksgiving counts as a holiday.

🚨 Must-Have Requirements

• LPN
• Minimum 1 year clinic experience – REQUIRED
• Cardiology Clinic experience – REQUIRED
• EPIC experience – REQUIRED
• BLS – REQUIRED
• Nursing education program approved by a Board of Nursing

❤️ Cardiology Experience

The clinic sees patients in:

• General Cardiology
• Electrophysiology
• Vascular Surgery

Cardiology experience is highly preferred, and the posting specifically states Cardiology Clinic and Epic experience is required.

👥 Patient Volume / Support

• Up to 22 patients per day
• Support staff:
  • EKG Tech
  • 3 Clinical Assistants
  • 1 CA per 10 rooms
  • LPN
  • Lead RN
  • Nursing Manager (RN)

💻 Charting

• Epic – REQUIRED

🔄 Floating

• Only within the Cardiology Clinic

🎓 Orientation

• Facility orientation per protocol
• 3–4 days of side-by-side training with a nurse on the unit

📍 Travel Rule

• Traveler must live more than 100 miles from the facility.
• Permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler.

👕 Scrubs / Parking

• Navy Blue scrubs
• Free parking

📅 Time Off

• Time off is subject to approval.
• For a full week off, the facility prefers a contract extension to maintain a total of 13 weeks.
