Description

Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer

Shift: Days | 5x8s | 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Contract: 13 weeks
Experience: 3+ years required
Travel Experience: Required
Locals: Not accepted within 50 miles
51–74 miles: Local rate may apply
Patient Population: Adults
Daily Volume: ~8 echos per 8-hour shift
Charting: Cerner preferred
 

Must-Haves

  • 3 years' experience
  • Previous travel experience
  • Echo/Cardiac Sonography experience
  • Required certification: ARDMS RDCS (AE), CCI, or RDCS
  • Adult acute care and outpatient experience
  • 2-D Echo
  • Color Doppler
  • M-Mode
  • Simpson's Rule
  • Portable studies
  • Bubble studies
  • ICU/ED procedures
  • Ability to perform stress echo studies preferred

Preferred / Advanced Skills

  • DSE – Dobutamine Stress Echo
  • ESE – Exercise Stress Echo
  • Diastology
  • LV strain / LV volume
  • Pharmacologic stress echo
  • PISA
  • Imaging with contrast agents
  • Treadmill stress echo

Procedures

  • Complete & limited echocardiograms
  • Dobutamine Stress Echo
  • Exercise Stress Echo

Equipment

  • Siemens Origins
  • GE Vivid
  • Philips Epiq

Patient Population / Cases

All cardiac diagnoses plus:

  • Stroke
  • Chemo patients
  • OB
  • Pre-op
  • Infectious disease
  • Trauma
  • ICU/ED patients

The facility also has a Structural Heart Program performing:

  • TAVR
  • TMVR
  • TTVR
  • TriClip
  • TEER

Schedule

  • 2 weekend days per month
  • No holidays is stated in the opening description, but the Tier 3 compliance section says travelers must work 50% of holidays during the contract. This is a conflict in the JD and should be confirmed with the AM before submission.
  • Call may be required according to the essential job functions.

🚨 Key Screening

Must have 3+ years of Echo experience, previous travel experience, ARDMS/CCI/RDCS certification, and hands-on adult 2-D Echo experience? Are you comfortable performing DSE/ESE.
