GHR Healthcare is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a full-time travel assignment.

Position Details

• Specialty: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Days
• Contract Type: Travel RN
• Start Date: ASAP / Flexible

Job Overview
The PACU RN will provide immediate post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. This role requires strong assessment skills, airway management experience, and the ability to recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during post-anesthesia recovery
• Assess airway, respiratory status, pain, and level of consciousness
• Manage IV therapy, medications, and post-op treatments
• Monitor vital signs and cardiac status
• Respond to complications related to anesthesia or surgery
• Provide pain and nausea management
• Coordinate safe transfers and discharges
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and the perioperative team

Requirements

• Recent PACU RN experience
• Active RN license for the assignment state
• Current BLS
• Current ACLS
• PALS may be required depending on facility
• Strong post-anesthesia and airway management experience
• Previous travel experience preferred
