Description

  • Specialty: CT Technologist / Radiologic Technologist
  • Facility: Barton Health
  • Location: South Lake Tahoe, California
  • Shift: 8-hour Days
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Technologist; recent CT experience required
  • Education: High School/GED preferred
  • Charting/Systems: Epic preferred; PACS, RIS, EMR, QC programs and CD burning
  • Patient Population: Pediatric through geriatric
  • Trauma: Level III Trauma Center
  • BLS: Required, American Heart Association
  • ARRT(R): Required
  • ARRT(CT): Required or registry eligible within 6 months of hire
  • CA Radiologic License/CRT: Required
  • CA Fluoroscopy License: Required; traveler may start while pending and must obtain within 3 months
  • Contract: 13 weeks
  • Positions: Not specified

Must-Have Qualifications

  1. ARRT(R) registration
  2. ARRT(CT) registration or eligibility within 6 months
  3. California Radiologic Technologist/CRT certification
  4. California fluoroscopy certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
  5. BLS through AHA
  6. Recent CT Technologist experience
  7. Ability to perform CT scans and CT post-processing
  8. Ability to perform required radiographic/X-ray procedures

CT / Clinical Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic CT scans
  • Perform CT angiography (CTA)
  • Perform CT post-processing
  • Assist physicians with CT-guided interventional procedures
  • Maintain sterile technique during invasive procedures
  • Perform radiographic exams according to established protocols
  • Archive imaging data into PACS
  • Maintain accurate patient and operational records
  • Operate PACS, RIS, EMR and related imaging systems
  • Prepare and maintain CT/imaging rooms and supplies
  • Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions
  • Perform preventive maintenance as required
  • Provide patient education and explain procedures
  • Maintain patient safety throughout imaging procedures
  • Train/orient assigned personnel when required
