An immediate 13-week travel contract opening is available for an experienced, licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Glendale, California (Greater Los Angeles area). Operating within the acute diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine department at an established acute care community hospital, this position features a desirable 5x8 daytime schedule (07:30 AM - 16:00 PM / 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday). NO MANDATORY ON-CALL REQUIRED! HIGH-PAYING CALIFORNIA ALLIED PACKAGE! If you are a certified technologist proficient in radiopharmaceutical administration, SPECT/diagnostic planar imaging, radiation safety/dosimetry protocols, and gamma camera operation looking to earn $3,715/week with maximum tax-free stipends in Southern California, this premier assignment is built for you!

- Weekly Gross: $3,715.00

- Hourly W2 Rate: $43.00/hr (40 regular hours)

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (07:30 AM - 16:00 PM / 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday).
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks.
- On-Call Requirements: NO MANDATORY ON-CALL REQUIRED! (Voluntary standby on-call available per departmental operational needs at $7.00/hr).
- Facility Setting: Acute care hospital imaging department / Unit: Nuclear Medicine.
- Clinical Scope & Modalities:
- Preparation, assay, calculation, and intravenous/oral administration of diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals.
- Performing comprehensive planar and SPECT imaging procedures: myocardial perfusion studies, bone scans, renal functional scintigraphy, thyroid uptakes/scans, hepatobiliary (HIDA) imaging, and GI bleeding localizations.
- Quality control and calibration of gamma cameras, dose calibrators, and well counters.
- Adherence to ALARA standards, radiation containment, wipe testing, survey meter monitoring, and State of California Department of Public Health (CDPH-RHB) compliance.
- EMR & PACS System: Cerner.

- Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated acute care clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Licensure: Active State of California Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certified License (CDPH-RHB) strictly in hand at submittal.
- Certifications Required (Documents in hand):
- ARRT Certification in Nuclear Medicine: ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
