Description

Registered Nurse (Behavioral Health / Community Health RN)

  • Schedule: 34.50 Hours Per Week | 3 Shifts Per Week | 11.5-Hour Shifts | Day/Night Rotating Schedule
    • Shift Schedule Breakdown: 2x Day Shifts (08:30 – 20:00) AND 2x Night Shifts (20:00 – 08:30) per rotation cycle.
    • Assignment Duration: Contract Assignment (10/26/2026 Start Date) | 4 Open Positions
  • Location Region: Brooklyn, New York (NY)

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Education & NY BSN Mandate [HARDSTOP]:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
    • For RNs issued a New York license on or after July 1, 2020: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree strictly required per NYS law [HARDSTOP].
  • Experience & Target Population Baseline [HARDSTOP]:
    • Preferred clinical experience caring for individuals with experiences of homelessness, serious mental illness (SMI), substance use disorders (SUD), or justice involvement [HARDSTOP]. (Candidates without prior experience must demonstrate a documented commitment to serving this specific population).
  • State Clearances & Screening [HARDSTOP]: Successful completion of SEL (Statewide Central Register / Staff Exclusion List) clearance strictly required prior to start [HARDSTOP].
  • State Licensure [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]: Active New York State Registered Professional Nurse License & Current Registration [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]: Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — Healthcare Provider) certification [HARDSTOP].
  • Preferred Clinical Skills: Basic wound care experience, Naloxone (Narcan) administration/education, and harm reduction principles.
